annemieke wade assumed her role as Executive Director at Roseneath Theatre in January 2016, following a successful tenure as General Manager at Theatre Direct Canada.
Before her time with Theatre Direct, annemieke spent four seasons with Tarragon Theatre as the Company Manager, demonstrating her knack for efficient and strategic management. In 2010, she impressively and concurrently juggled the roles of Artistic Director at Toronto Youth Theatre and Production Manager at the Lower Ossington Theatre.
Her educational background is equally impressive. She holds a Master of Business Administration from Champlain College, an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Theatre & Drama Studies from the University of Toronto, and a diploma in Acting from Sheridan College. Her blend of business acumen and artistic prowess is a defining feature of her career.
Beyond her managerial expertise, annemieke is a versatile artist and performer, actively contributing to the Ontario art scene, with a focus on theatre for young audiences. Before annemieke moved into the admin world of theatre, she spent over seven years touring TYA across the US and Canada, performing a staggering 7,000+ shows for children and their grownups.
Dedicated to fostering the performing arts community, annemieke served as the Secretary (2018-2022) on the Board of Directors for the Toronto Alliance for Performing Arts (TAPA). Originally hailing from St. Albans, Vermont, she embraced Canada as her home in 2007 and proudly became a citizen in 2013. annemieke wade's remarkable journey and multifaceted contributions continue to shape and enrich the Canadian theatre landscape.
Past producing credits include: Moderato Cantabile (SummerWorks 2015), Unwrap Your Candy, Vinegar Tom, Taming of the Shrew (Royal Porcupine Productions), St. Francis Talks to the Birds (Toronto Fringe), and The Last Five Years (Clearwater Players).
