Rachel Marks

Job Title

I come from a theatre background, having worked in Front of House, Box Office, as a Stage Manager and Artist Educator for many years, in fact, I continue to work as a Stage Manager at St. Lawrence College in the Musical Theatre Department. For the past seven and a half years however, my main focus was developing programming, events and learning opportunities for children on the autism spectrum and their families. This has led to creating improv programs for children with disabilities, who are neurodiverse, and children with learning and developmental delays for the Military Family Resource Centres of Ontario and some agencies in Ottawa. I pride myself on being an advocate for access to the arts and consult on Relaxed Performances for Soulpepper Theatre and the Young Centre for the Performing Arts, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, the National Ballet of Canada and the Thousand Islands Playhouse, amongst others. Overall, my main goal in life is providing every child with an opportunity to see themselves or someone they know represented on stage and through storytelling; so when the opportunity to join the team at Roseneath presented itself I was thrilled! For years I have been impressed and moved by the work produced by the company and am looking forward to sharing this year’s season with you.
