Teacher Assisting a Student

Youth Leadership

WHO:

Youth between grade 7 to 12, who are looking to build leadership skills, and have an interest in performing arts, equity and social justice.

WHAT:

The Youth Leadership Program is a year-long program that allows youth to learn hands-on skills while earning volunteer hours.  Youth Leaders will have the opportunity to meet and work with professionals. At the conclusion of the program year participants will receive letters of recommendations and references to help them in their future job searches and they may apply for available paid summer employment with Roseneath Theatre.

WHERE:

Roseneath Theatre at 651 Dufferin Street, on the third floor.

HOW:

Please contact Valerie McDermott (Family Program Coordinator) at coordinator@roseneath.ca

WHY:

Roseneath Theatre’s Youth Leadership Program strives to give youth who are passionate about the arts and community service a chance to explore education, theatre and the arts in a non-traditional way. The program allows students to safely and comfortably explore their own strengths and areas for growth through hands-on work experience. Roseneath Theatre’s Youth Leaders will build their confidence, social skills and expand themselves artistically, emotionally and socially. This program will give students the chance to broaden their world and explore interests and passions that they may not realize they’ve had. They will also gain documented community service hours which are required to complete high school in Ontario and professional contacts to support their next endeavours.
